What are web fonts?
A web font is any font used in a website’s design that isn’t installed by default on the end user’s device. Web fonts are used online and are embedded in websites. They are transferred/downloaded by your browser every time you visit a website.
What is a web font license?
Web font licenses will enable you to embed that font in the code for a website. So, whereas you might use a desktop license to create a static image (like a .jpeg), a web font license facilitates the implementation of the font in the actual code of your website.
Purchasing a web font license
- Teal will provide you with instructions and a link to the service where the web font is available for purchase/download.
- If purchasing an Adobe web font, we’ll just need login access to your paid account.
- If purchasing from another font service, you’ll need to send us the font-files or other embed information provided.
